Line-ups confirmed as Hoops look to pull off second-leg comeback


Celtic are from out of their Champions League knockout play-off tie against Bayern Munich as they travel to Germany for the second leg following a 2-1 defeat at Celtic Park.

The Bavarian giants triumped in Glasgow a week ago courtesy of goals from Michael Olise and Harry Kane, but Daizen Maeda’s late goal has given the Hoops hopes of a fightback in the second leg.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are looking to reach the last 16 for the first time in 12 years and know they need a strong performance on away soil to do so.

Bayern Munich team news

The headline news from Bayern’s line-ups announcment is that star striker Kane is fit to start after being seen as a doubt in the build-up to the game.

Eric Dier drops out of the Xi for Kim Minjae, with Konrad Laimer also replaced by Josip Stanisic.

There is no Leroy Sane in the matchday squad.

Celtic team news

January signings Jeffrey Schlupp and Jota Silva both have been given a start after starting last week’s first leg from the bench.

Daizen Maeda, who scored at Celtic Park last week, starts up front with Adam Idah benched.
