Rosenior on Pedro

Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has said that Joao Pedro will have a massive role during the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Blues progressed to the FA Cup quarter-final after a hard-fought 4-2 win over Wrexham on the road. Pedro came off the bench to score the Blues’ fourth goal.

Speaking after the victory, Rosenior  said that he wanted to manage Pedro’s minutes and he will have a massive part to play against Les Parisiens on the road on Wednesday.

Pedro said: “He’s in that place… I wanted to manage his minutes because he’s going to be massive for us in Paris on Wednesday.”

Chelsea have found form with back-to-back wins in all competitions but face a stern challenge against the reigning European champions.

PSG were beaten by the Blues at the Club World Cup last summer, but the London giants face a daunting challenge this time around.

They will hope to secure a positive result from Paris.
