Jurassic World Rebirth Now Streaming On Peacock After Strong Box Office

2025 has seen several franchises flourish and flounder upon their returns to theaters. DC had a strong relaunch with Superman, while Marvel’s recent box office struggles continued with three releases. Live-action remakes with How To Train Your Dragon and Lilo & Stitch were successful enough to greenlight sequels, while Warner Bros. has confirmed Minecraft 2 after the first nearly made $1 billion.

The worldwide box office for this year is headlined by China’s Ne Zha 2‘s $2+ billion gross, with Lilo & Stitch and A Minecraft Movie rounding out the top three. Anime has even made its presence felt with Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie – Infinity Castle moving into the top five. Two of these movies are already streaming, but the fourth-highest-grossing movie of the year is now too.

Jurassic World Rebirth Is Streaming On Peacock After A Successful Theatrical Run

Jonathan Bailey as Loomis and Scarlett Johansson as Zora in Jurassic World Rebirth

Starting today, October 30, Jurassic World Rebirth is streaming for the first time. Universal Studios made the move to put the film on Peacock at last, 120 days after it premiered in theaters.

Jurassic World Rebirth is the seventh movie in the Jurassic franchise, pushing the world forward a few years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion. As the title implies, this is a rebirth of sorts for the series, one that follows a new group of characters and has surprisingly few connections to the prior installments.

It’s directed by Gareth Edwards, the filmmaker behind fan-favorite blockbusters like Godzilla and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, with Jurassic Park‘s writer David Koepp penning the screenplay. The cast is headlined by Scarlett Johansson and also features Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, and others.

Jurassic World Rebirth is more of what audiences have come to expect from the franchise at this point. It has the big spectacle with plenty of dinosaur action, as well as a story and characters that could’ve benefited from greater exploration. But, it’s still arguably the best Jurassic World movie the franchise has delivered.

Critics were evenly split on Jurassic World Rebirth, with it earning a 50% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences have appreciated it more, generating a 71% on the Popcornmeter and $868 million at the box office. The latter is below the previous installments, but its still a mammoth figure that only three other movies this year have outperformed.

Anyone who enjoys the previous Jurassic movies is sure to get a kick out of what Rebirth has to offer. There are hints of the magic behind Steven Spielberg’s original, as there are moments of thrill and that tug on the heartstrings. It’s also anchored by one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, which doesn’t hurt.

Jurassic World Rebirth‘s box office shows just how many people have seen the film already, but if you missed it in theaters for any reason or are just itching to see it again, the streaming release makes that easier than ever before. All you need is a premium Peacock subscription, which costs $10.99 per month.
