According to Fabrizio Romano, Inter Miami have opened talks with Casemiro over the possibility of the veteran midfielder moving to Florida after the expiration of his contract with Manchester United this summer.
Casemiro has already revealed he would be leaving Old Trafford at the end of the season, and despite some more recent speculation about the Brazilian possibly changing his mind, he remains adamant that his decision to leave United is final.
Already boasting several players renowned from their La Liga days – such as Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez – Miami are obviously pleased with the impact they’ve made, both on and off the pitch, and they want to add another veteran star to their ranks. However, they face competition from both Europe and Saudi Arabia for Casemiro.
A a long-time rival for Messi and Suarez – both former Barcelona stars – Casemiro spent seven glorious years at Real Madrid. The 34-year-old won no less than five Champions League trophies with Los Blancos, before joining Manchester United in 2022.
