IND vs PAK [WATCH]: Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana troll Abrar Ahmed with ‘head tilt’ gesture after Asia Cup 2025 win

The Asia Cup 2025 final at Dubai International Stadium had everything—intensity, drama, and plenty of banter. While India sealed their ninth Asia Cup crown with a thrilling five-wicket victory over arch-rivals Pakistan, the post-match celebrations sparked an equally heated conversation after Indian players cheekily mocked Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed’s trademark gesture.

Abrar Ahmed’s gesture draws spotlight

Abrar, who has become known for his unique ‘head tilt’ celebration after taking wickets, brought out the act yet again in the 13th over when he dismissed Sanju Samson for 24. At that moment, Pakistan had India on the backfoot at 62/4, and the bowler’s animated gesture towards the dugout did not go unnoticed.

Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana and Jitesh Sharam trolled Abrar

But the tables turned quickly. After India wrapped up the chase, a video surfaced on social media showing Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, and Jitesh Sharma mimicking Abrar’s celebration in front of Samson. Arshdeep himself posted the clip on Instagram with the caption “No context,” sparking a wave of reactions. Fans flooded the comments section, hailing the Indian trio for ‘returning the favour’ in a light-hearted yet bold manner. The video has since gone viral, adding a new layer of entertainment to the high-voltage final.

Tilak Varma shines in India’s title winning victory

Earlier, Pakistan had set the tone with a strong opening stand as Sahibzada Farhan (57) and Fakhar Zaman (46) guided them to 113/1. But their momentum was short-lived. Kuldeep Yadav’s brilliant spell of 4/30 dismantled the middle order, and Pakistan lost nine wickets for just 33 runs, folding for 146 in 19.1 overs.

Chasing 147, the Men in Blue were reduced to 20/3 inside the powerplay as Abhishek Sharma (5), Shubman Gill (12), and skipper Suryakumar Yadav (1) departed early. Tilak Varma, however, stood tall with a match-winning unbeaten 69 off 53 balls, striking a six off Haris Rauf in the final over to tilt the game India’s way. Shivam Dube‘s 33 off 22 provided crucial support, and their 60-run stand proved decisive. Rinku Singh then sealed the triumph with a boundary, ensuring India got home with two balls to spare.

The night wasn’t without off-field drama either. India’s players refused to accept the trophy from ACC president and PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi, leading to an unusual post-match scene. With no official presentation, the team shared pictures of their celebration minus the trophy.
