Hutter distances himself from Tottenham job as De Zerbi speculation mounts

Adi Hutter has seemingly ruled himself out of taking charge of Tottenham this season.

Spurs parted ways with Igor Tudor on Sunday.

Tudor had been in charge for just 44 days, having won only one game since taking over from Thomas Frank.

Spurs, who lost 3-0 to Nottingham Forest in their last outing, sit 17th in the Premier League, just one point above the relegation zone.

Hutter was dismissed by Monaco in October, and is among the names having been linked with taking over.

However, the Austrian says he would rather not take up a new job until after the season has finished.

“In the last few days and weeks, I have been increasingly linked with various clubs,” said Hutter, as reported by Sky Sports Austria.

“However, as I already said immediately after my time at Monaco, I fundamentally want to work as a head coach again at the beginning of the new season at the earliest.

“My stance on this topic has not changed since then.”

Reports suggest Roberto De Zerbi, the former Brighton and Marseille boss, is Spurs’ preferred candidate to take charge.
