Since its launch back in 2023, Hogwarts Legacy has been criticized for its lack of post-game content. With just one minor update, which consisted of a handful of cosmetics and a new quest, Avalanche Software seemingly had no further plans for the months following the RPG’s launch, instead deciding to instantly focus on the upcoming sequel.

As a result, it has been down to the dedicated fans and creators to make Hogwarts Legacy still worth playing three-years on, but what many have not realized is that there is an official way to get your hands on some free DLC.

Hogwarts Legacy Players Might’ve Missed This Free DLC

With the Harry Potter-inspired RPG recently celebrating its 3rd anniversary and being available to download for free for a limited time, fans both old and new flocked back. It is here that some eagle-eyed players noticed that the official Hogwarts Legacy website offers players the chance to get their hands on some free in-game loot.

Thanks to Hogwarts Legacy’s Fan Account Integration, players can link their Harry Potter Fan Club account to their Warner Bros. account in order to customize their game and unlock exclusive awards. This includes allowing hardcore Harry Potter fans to bring their personal House into Hogwarts Legacy in the shape of a hat and even their chosen wand (or the wand that chose them, I should say).

There are also exclusive in-game cosmetics to be unlocked, such as a House Fanatic School Robe, Beaked Skull Mask, and even a special digital wallpaper which is handed out just for signing up. Last, but not least, those who connect both accounts will be able to earn even more in-game achievements relating to the Harry Potter Fan Club.

You Can Download And Claim This Hogwarts Legacy DLC Now

It is unsurprising that this DLC was missed considering that only a small minority of players would have scoured through the official Hogwarts Legacy website. However, they are indeed available, and will be available for the foreseeable future.

The beak mask will be the perfect way to keep your identity secret as you sneak through the castle’s halls at night, whilst the robe collection comes in four different color variations, allowing you to stand out amongst the crowd. Additionally, this hopefully shows that the Hogwarts Legacy sequel will feature a lot more customization, as this is another area that fans wished for more of.

Needless to say, a sequel is on the horizon with Avalanche Software hard at work in the magical world. However, with reports that it will be coordinating with the events of the upcoming HBO Harry Potter adaptation, this could cause issues for the opposing timelines.
