Rosenior on Garnacho

Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has heaped praise on Alejandro Garnacho following the 4-1 Premier League rout of Aston Villa on the road on Wednesday night.

The Argentine got the nod in the starting line-up on the left wing against the Villans after Pedro Neto was suspended. He capitalised on the opportunity with a solid display.

Garnacho provided the assist for Joao Pedro‘s hat-trick in the West Midlands, and he was an attacking influence throughout the game. Speaking after the victory, Rosenior hailed him saying:

“He was outstanding. I’ve had a lot of conversations with him. I said to him ‘I knew he would play well tonight’, just because of how he’s training.”

The Blues moved back to the fifth position in the Premier League table ahead of Liverpool on goal difference after yesterday’s thumping win.

They will now turn their attention to the FA Cup fifth round. The west London giants face Wrexham on the road on Saturday evening.
