I’ve loved Gap since I was a little kid, but lately the brand has felt especially elevated and cool. My fashion editor friend told me not to sleep on their new dresses, and a neighborhood teenager was recently wearing their strappy sandals, which looked way more expensive than they were.

Then today the internet exploded with the launch of GapStudio, a fashion-forward capsule collection designed by Zac Posen — the American fashion designer famous for designing dresses for celebs like Michelle Obama, Natalie Portman, Rihanna, etc., who is now Gap’s creative director.

Think: wide-leg sailor pants…

…a bright slip dress, which would be fun to wear to weddings…

…and a polka-dot shirt dress I’d love to live in all summer. (Also, this maxi!)

And how gorgeous is this pleated trench??? My heart skipped a beat.
