Hallmark’s 3-Season Time-Traveling Show Discovers New Audience On Netflix Just In Time For The Final Episodes

Hallmark’s time-traveling series The Way Home has found a whole new audience, according to Netflix’s Top 10 chart. The cable network show, which debuted in 2023 and has a 92% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, centers around multiple generations of women who discover secrets about their family through time travel.

It was recently announced that The Way Home season 4, airing sometime this spring, will be the final chapter of the story.

The Way Home season 3 was just added to Netflix at the start of February, and now the series is sitting at No. 9 on Netflix’s Top 10 chart, as of February 5, 2026.

Bridgerton, Is It Cake? Valentines, His & Hers, Alone, Star Search, Mike Epps: Delusional, Raw and Free Bert are currently in the top eight spots ahead of The Way Home, with Heartland rounding out the Top 10.

Meanwhile, The Investigation of Lucy Letby, Copshop, Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates, Faith in the Flames: The Nichole Jolly Story, Terry McMillan Presents: Forever, Independence Day, Night at the Museum, The Rip, KPop Demon Hunters and Honey Don’t! make up the Top 10 movies on Netflix.

Created by Heather Conkie (whose past writing credits include 7th Heaven and Heartland), Alexandra Clarke and Marly Reed, The Way Home stars Chyler Leigh (Grey’s Anatomy and Supergirl), Evan Williams (Degrassi: The Next Generation), Sadie Laflamme-Snow (Unicorn Academy) and Andie MacDowell (Groundhog Day and Four Weddings and a Funeral).

Leigh and MacDowell also serve as executive producers on the series alongside Conkie, Clarke, Reed, Arnie Zipursky, Lauren MacKinlay, Hannah Pillemer, Fernando Szew, Larry Grimaldi and Susanne Berger.

The Way Home season 3 finale, which was the highest-rated entertainment cable series among women in the 25-54 demographic, included several major moments, including Elliot being the baby at the pond, Del watching her and Colton’s wedding after time traveling, Jacob’s disappearance, the emotional scene between Colton and Alice, and Sam standing at the pond.

All of this sets up the highly-anticipated final season this spring, which is expected to feature several twists and turns as fans finally get the answers and closure they’ve been seeking these past few years.

When Hallmark announced the end of the series, MacDowell expressed her gratitude for all of the cast and crew she got to work with these past several years.

Filming for The Way Home season 4 ended in late November 2025. A premiere date hasn’t been announced yet. So far, every single season has premiered in January, but the final installment will break that pattern.

Since the first three seasons of The Way Home are available to stream on Netflix, the final season is expected to arrive on the popular streaming platform sometime after it finishes airing on Hallmark.
