Grey's Anatomy Dominates Disney+ Streaming Ahead of Season 22 Premiere

This Emmy-winning classic drama series on Disney+ continues to trend on global streaming charts despite premiering more than two decades ago.

Although this legendary TV series is available to stream on multiple platforms, its viewership is currently surging on Disney+ specifically. At the time of writing, this series is the fifth most-viewed show on Disney+ from a global perspective, only falling behind major new streaming releases like Alien: Earth and High Potential.

Grey’s Anatomy Is Still A Streaming Hit On Disney+ In 2025

Some 20 years after Grey’s Anatomy’s unforgettable pilot episode premiered on ABC, the celebrated medical drama series remains one of the most-watched shows on Disney+. In a similar vein to Modern Family, which is currently the sixth most-watched show on Disney+, these classic series prove they still have a massive modern audience.

Grey’s Anatomy is always going to be a popular series due to its timeless storylines and iconic characters. Its current popularity, however, may be boosted by the recent Emmy success of HBO’s new medical drama, The Pitt, as well as the fact that season 22 of Grey’s Anatomy will be released in just a matter of days.

Grey’s Anatomy is one of the most challenging series to binge-watch from a completionist perspective, with nearly 450 episodes currently available to stream.
