Gen V season 2 continues its predecessor’s trend of beating The Boys‘ most disgusting Ant-Man parody by featuring a hilariously shocking sequence in its opening episodes. From its opening moments itself, Gen V season 2 avoids holding back on violence and instantly immerses audiences into its dark, gory world with a gory set of scenes.
As season 2 progresses, Gen V features many brutal action sequences while gradually introducing one of its most compelling mysteries: Project Odessa. Although the show maintains a consistent pace and keeps dropping subtle clues about what Project Odessa means, it never cuts back on the iconic over-the-top satire and unapologetic gore that make its overarching franchise stand out.
One scene from its first three episodes, however, particularly catches viewers off-guard, not only because it pushes the boundaries of shock value, but also comes off as another Ant-Man parody. The franchise has been consistently parodying Ant-Man since the beginning, but Gen V season 2’s take on the trend is arguably the most outrageous one yet.
Gen V Season 2 Continues The Boys’ Ant-Man Parody Trend With Another Shocking Scene
The Boys first introduced a bizarre Ant-Man parody by featuring a scene in which its size-manipulating supe, Termite, shrinks in size and enters a man’s penis to pleasure him. With what follows, however, things take a horrifying turn when he accidentally grows in size after sneezing and explodes the man’s body from the waist down.
This scene came off as The Boys‘ take on the Ant-Man meme, which suggested that the Paul Rudd superhero could have easily killed Thanos by crawling up inside him from behind and growing in size. Even though it looked like The Boys took its Ant-Man parody a little too far, Gen V beat it by showing a scene where Emma shrinks in size and hangs off another supe’s penis to fulfill his strange fetish.
Just when it looked like Gen V had pushed the boundaries of poking fun at Ant-Man, the show’s season 2 took things further by featuring another Ant-Man and Thanos parody. In episode 3, it shows a scene in which a supe’s head literally grows out of another one’s posterior, which seems like a direct reference to the Ant-Man & Thanos meme, only with a more sexual undertone.
The Boys’ Ant-Man Parody Is Repetitive But Never Boring
The Boys franchise’s Ant-Man parodies are starting to get a little too redundant. However, it is hard not to appreciate how the franchise’s creators keep finding new and creative ways to instill shock value with the same twisted gimmick. Every time The Boys or Gen V features an Ant-Man parody, it seems like the TV franchise cannot possibly top it in any way.
Gen V season 2 is scheduled to have a total of eight episodes, with the last one releasing on October 22, 2025.
Surprisingly, though, even the third time, the series found a way to instill the same shock value (if not more) by taking the concept into increasingly absurd and weirdly sexual territory. All three scenes, so far, have been the right combination of surreal exaggeration, body horror, and twisted superhero dark comedy, making it hard not to wonder how Gen V or The Boys will eventually push things even further.
