At long last, Monster is finally getting the physical release it deserves. Monster is often considered the premier work of legendary creator Naoki Urasawa, and even after 20 years, the anime is still held in high regard by fans and critics alike and seen as one of the best anime ever made.

There are few anime that are better to watch than Monster, and now, Discotek Media has announced at Otakon 2025 that they will give Monster an HD Blu-ray release in 2026 with English and Japanese audio. It’s a vast improvement from how Monster has been handled in the past, and it’s great to see for old and new fans alike.
