The beloved cast of the classic sitcom, Everybody Loves Raymond, is returning to TV screens for an anniversary special. The reunion will be a 90-minute special and air on CBS this fall.
The Everybody Loves Raymond special, airing on November 24, 2025, at 8:00 PM ET, is hosted by the show’s star, Ray Romano and creator Phil Rosenthal. It will also see the return of some of the original cast members, Patricia Heaton (Debra), Brad Garrett (Robert), Monica Horan (Amy), Madylin Sweeten (Ally) and Sullivan Sweeten (Michael).
According to CBS, the special will pay tribute to two of TV’s most iconic parents of their time, Doris Roberts (Marie) and Peter Boyle (Frank), who have both sadly passed away. The broadcasting company emphasized the effect that the pair of talented actors had on the show and their fans. They explained that their presence on camera made them instant fan favorites and became “emotional anchors of the series.”
What Everybody Loves Raymond’s Anniversary Special Means
First released on September 13, 1996, and concluding on May 16, 2005, Everybody Loves Raymond lasted for nine strong seasons. Over the years, the critically acclaimed show garnered 69 Emmy nominations, winning 15 of them throughout its long run.
Seeing the reunion of the remaining original cast members of the show will almost certainly excite many of its adoring fans. The lovably dysfunctional family graced the TV screens of many viewers, providing them with hilarious and relatable storylines that resonate with a lot of American families.
Our Take on Everybody Loves Raymond’s Anniversary Special
There have been several reunion shows in recent years for both shows and films. Everybody Loves Raymond’s TV special will be a welcome addition to the lineup. The timeless sitcom remains a favorite in many viewers’ hearts. The nostalgia alone would surely draw in a large audience.
While these anniversary shows are a little cliché to an extent, they’re still usually a fun watch. Seeing these endearing characters from a show that debuted nearly 30 years ago is something that most fans would never be angry at. The show airing so close to Thanksgiving is also very funny.
The series’ holiday episodes have always been wonderfully chaotic. Thanksgiving and Christmas with the Barones have always been a point of contention for the often-bickering bunch, and having them reunite so close to a family-oriented holiday is incredibly fitting for Everybody Loves Raymond.
