Analysis: Who will win the 2025/26 FA Cup?
Shortly before the draw, Manchester City were slight favourites with bookmakers to win this season’s competition.
The seven-time champions are yet to be tested, thrashing third-tier Exeter City 10-1 at home in the third round and fourth-tier visitors Salford City 2-0 in the fourth round.
Record 14-time champions Arsenal were considered second-favourites by oddsmakers and survived an early scare when they fell behind at Championship club Portsmouth in the third round.
The Gunners, who led the Premier League ahead of the Cityzens at the time of the draw, swiftly hit back to win that game 4-1 before breezing past third-tier strugglers Wigan Athletic 4-0 at home in the fourth round.
Liverpool and Chelsea are the second-most successful teams in the history of the competition still involved this time around, each triumphing eight times.
The Reds are third-favourites to add another title, having pasted third-tier Barnsley 4-1 at home in the third round and Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion 3-0 at Anfield in their next tie.
Fourth-favourites Chelsea have been highly impressive in their two away ties under new manager Liam Rosenior, beating Championship opponents Charlton Athletic 5-1 in the Englishman’s first game in charge and hammering one of his former clubs, Hull City, 4-0 in the fourth round.
Newcastle United, Brentford, Leeds United, Fulham, Sunderland and West Ham United are considered dark horses by odds compilers.
