Confirmed line-ups for Champions League clash in Istanbul

Liverpool take on Galatasaray in the Champions League tonight. Get the confirmed team news here…

Liverpool head to Istanbul tonight hoping to mark Arne Slot’s 100th game in charge with a win at Galatasaray.

Slot has enjoyed a largely successful stint on Merseyside, capped by winning the Premier League last season, although things have been more complicated this year with their title defence already all but over.

They are still in the FA Cup while their fate in the Champions League depends on the outcome of the two clashes with Super Lig leaders Gala.

The teams met at RAMS Park in the league phase with Victor Osimhen’s penalty settling a closely fought encounter.

Slot said: “First of all, it makes me really proud that I become the Liverpool manager and that it is going to be my 100th game. I don’t think I have a bad track record in those 100 games… although sometimes, you get a different feeling about that if I have to listen to everything! But it makes me proud and it’s nice that the 100th game is such a nice game to play – Champions League last 16, away game against Galatasaray.”

Gala have won 10 of their last 12 in all competitions, and will hope to take a lead back to Anfield for next week’s return leg.
