Confirmed line-ups as Postecoglou goes in search of first win as Forest boss

Ange Postecoglou takes charge of Nottingham Forest at the City Ground for the very first time as the Australian manager goes in search of his first win with his new club.

The Forest boss will have been buoyed by what was, in the end, a frustrating but impressive point away at Real Betis in the Europa League on Wednesday, with his side having led for well over an hour before conceding with five minutes remaining in a 2-2 draw.

The Midlanders have, however, endured a difficult time in the Premier League so far this term, picking up just one win from their opening five matches.

Sunderland, meanwhile, have enjoyed a decent start to their return to the top flight, securing two wins, two draws and just one defeat to occupy eighth spot in the table.

Here are how the two teams line-up for this intriguing clash.

Nottingham Forest team news

Postecoglou makes five changes from the side that claimed a point against Real Betis in midweek, with Nicolas Dominguez making his first appearance for the Reds since the final game of last season.

James McAtee also makes his first Forest start, while Chris Wood, Dilane Bakwa and Dan Ndoye also come into the team.

Sunderland team news

By contrast, Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris makes just one change, with Arthur Masuaku replacing the suspended Reinildo, who was sent off in last Sunday’s draw with Aston Villa.

Teenager Chris Rigg keeps his place in midfield alongside Granit Xhaka and Noah Sadiki, while top scorer Wilson Isidor leads the line in attack.
