James & Neto absent vs Arsenal

Chelsea are without Reece James and Pedro Neto for the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

The Blues are trailing 3-2 after the first leg at Stamford Bridge last month and will need to overturn the deficit to make the final at Wembley.

Ahead of the game, manager Liam Rosenior has left out James and Neto from the matchday squad, much to the surprise of many Chelsea fans.

Rosenior should provide an update on the duo in his pre-match comments.

Estevao has returned after being away for personal reasons, but he is only on the bench alongside Cole Palmer, who played 90 minutes against West Ham.

Chelsea seem to be going for a 3-5-2 system tonight. Liam Delap and Pedro Neto could be leading the line for the west London giants.

The Blues will be aiming to beat the Gunners for the first time since 2021 when James and Romelu Lukaku were on the scoresheet.
