Chelsea winger Jamie Gittens is expected to return from a hamstring injury in the next seven days, according to manager Liam Rosenior.
The England Under-21 international sustained the setback against West Ham United last month and has since been on the sidelines for the Blues.
He has been making good progress in his recovery and Rosenior has said that he could be back in full training within the next seven days.
Rosenior said: “Jamie Gittens is getting really close. He had a really positive scan. Hopefully in the next seven days, he will be back in the group.”
Chelsea relied on Alejandro Garnacho on the left wing against Villa. The Argentine proved his worth with a late assist for Joao Pedro‘s hat-trick.
Pedro Neto is back from a one-game suspension. He could be reinstated in the starting XI when the Blues take on Wrexham in the FA Cup fifth round.
Chelsea go into tomorrow’s game on the road as firm favourites.
