Chelsea handed Huijsen transfer boost

Chelsea have been handed a big boost in signing Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen at the end of the season.

The Blues are expected to go on another spending spree in the summer and they have their sights on landing a new centre-back.

Huijsen has been closely monitored over the past few weeks and reports claim that the Blues are weighing up a summer approach.

The club have now received a huge boost in their pursuit. The Spain youth international has a £50m release clause in his contract.

The Blues have already made contact with the defender’s agents and they are looking to negotiate personal terms much in advance.

Huijsen has his sights on playing European football next term, and he could decide to stay with the Cherries if they qualify for Europe.

Bournemouth have exceeded expectations this campaign and they are currently placed fifth in the Premier League standings.

That could be enough to qualify for the Champions League next term.
