Bitesize Prediction: Malaga vs Huesca – 15/03/26

Competition: Spanish Segunda

Market: Malaga win

Odds: 7/10 @ BetUS

Two camps who are firmly scrapping it out at opposite ends of the Segunda standings, play-off chasers Malaga will welcome Huesca to Andalusia on Sunday evening.

Starting with the hosts, while Malaga might have found themselves consistently looking over their shoulder at a potential relegation scrap last season, Juan Francesco Funes’ men have made a string of improvements this time around. Opening Sunday’s fixtures sat in the play-off places, Los Albicelestes have registered seven points from their previous three Segunda appearances and they will certainly be smelling a golden opportunity in Andalusia this weekend. Signing off February with consecutive 1-0 victories against Granada and Albacete, Malaga have lost just a pair of their previous 15 consecutive Segunda appearances – a run that stems all the way back to November 17th. Pencilled in as a standout contender here, it should also be highlighted that the play-off candidates have remarkably suffered just a single defeat in front of their own supporters so far this season. Likewise, Malaga have also notched at least a pair of strikes in five of their last six showdowns in Andalusia.

As for the visitors, while some on Huesca’s camp might have opened up the 2025/26 campaign with their sights set on mounting their own respective play-off share, Bolo’s camp have endured a public Segunda nightmare this season. Last seen putting in another toothless display as they had to settle for a 0-0 stalemate at home against Albacete, the Aragon-based outfit find themselves sat in the drop zone and they travel to Malaga this weekend three points adrift of safety. Facing a major battle in the race to keep hold of their second-tier status in 2026, Huesca have recorded just a pair of wins from any of their last 12 appearances across all competitions – a run that stems all the way back to December 12th. It’s also worth highlighting, Sunday’s guests have continued to show some glaring issues on the road. In fact, including a 4-1 drumming against Castellon on January 3rd, Bolo’s side have recorded just one-point from any of their last five Segunda showdowns away from the Estadio El Alcoraz.

Bet: Malaga 7/10 to beat Huesca in Sunday’s Segunda showdown @ BetUS
