Saka out with hip injury

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has been ruled out of the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Chelsea with an injury.

The Gunners entertain the Blues at the Emirates later tonight. They will be without the services of Saka for the League Cup encounter.

Saka sustained a muscle injury in his hip during the warm-up against Leeds United and he was subsequently left out of the matchday squad.

The Englishman was replaced by compatriot Noni Madueke, who had a brilliant game with a goal and an assist at Elland Road.

Madueke is now expected to continue on the right wing against his former employers. He will be motivated to make his mark against the Blues.

Arsenal are leading 3-2 after the first leg of the semi-final and will aim to reach the final of the competition for the first time since 2018.

The Gunners have a good record against the Blues and have not lost against the west London giants since August 2021 (2-0 at the Emirates).
