Arsenal winger Noni Madueke will be sidelined for two months after picking up a knee injury against Manchester City in the Premier League, according to The Athletic.
The England international joined the Gunners from Chelsea over the summer and his arrival was met with a mixed reception from the club’s faithful.
However, he has already proven his credentials with multiple standout displays. He was the best player in the opening half against the Cityzens last weekend.
Madueke was substituted at the interval with a knee concern and reports claim that he will be on the sidelines for the next two months at the least.
His injury is a huge blow for the Gunners, considering Bukayo Saka has just returned to action after an extended lay-off for a hamstring injury.
His work load needs to be carefully managed in the coming weeks. The likes of Max Dowman and Ethan Nwaneri could play on the right wing to balance the minutes of Saka until the next international break.
