Goretzka set for PL move?

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on landing the signature of Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka on a free transfer this summer.

The German was linked with a mid-season move away from Bayern, but he decided to stay put with the Bavarian giants for the rest of the campaign.

He will be leaving when his contract expires on June 30, and Bild today claim that Goretzka prefers a move to the Premier League next season.

Arsenal and Spurs are mentioned as the frontrunners to land the Bundesliga winner, though Atletico also hold a strong interest in recruiting him.

Out of the trio, Arsenal may not guarantee him regular playing time next season and it remains to be seen whether he will accept a squad player role.

Goretzka has also been linked with a possible stay in the Bundesliga, but he has his sights on pursuing a new challenge, preferably in English football.

He is bound to command a sizeable salary and signing-on fee.
