Arsenal have suffered a double injury blow following the 2-0 win over West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
The Gunners climbed to the top of the Premier League standings after a fantastic derby win over the Hammers in front of their fans.
However, the victory came at a cost. Martin Odegaard was substituted in the opening half with a knee injury and was spotted with a brace.
Declan Rice picked up a back problem from a late challenge in the second half. He asked to be substituted during the back end of the contest.
Speaking after the game, Arteta acknowledged that Odegaard’s injury is concerning and Rice will be assessed by the medical staff as well.
Arsenal were five points adrift of leaders Liverpool eight days ago, but there has been a dramatic turnaround that sees them top of the table.
The Reds have suffered back-to-back losses to Crystal Palace and Chelsea, and face a huge challenge against Manchester United after the interlul.
