Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber has made Alan Shearer‘s Team of the Week for the second-straight occasion.
The Gunners retained their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League after a 2-1 victory over Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.
Timber was a key performer in the win. He scored the vital winning goal with a header in the second half for the north London giants.
Timber was picked in Shearer’s Premier League Team of the Week for his standout showing against Tottenham Hotspur last month.
He has once again made the XI after another top-notch display.
Timber had a lean run of form at the start of the year and there were suggestions that he should be replaced by Ben White at right-back.
However, the Dutchman has redeemed himself with back-to-back top-class displays against Tottenham and Chelsea for the Gunners.
He is an undisputed starter at right-back in the Premier League and European games and looks poised to keep his position in the future.
