Arsenal set for double injury boost

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed a double injury boost ahead of the FA Cup quarter-final against Southampton on the road on Saturday night.

The Gunners suffered a disappointing 2-0 loss to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final before the final international break of the campaign.

They will be eager to make amends on the South Coast tomorrow. Ahead of the encounter, the club have received a timely boost on two players.

Martin Odegaard has returned to full training after a nagging knee issue and the club captain is poised to make the matchday squad for the game.

Similarly, Jurrien Timber is back in the mix after a groin concern. The Dutchman is also expected to be involved against the Saints away.

While the duo are back in the mix, Eberechi Eze continues to be sidelined with a calf issue, while Noni Madueke is nursing a minor knee concern.

Piero Hincapie picked up a hamstring injury on international duty, and the Ecuadorian is expected to be absent for the upcoming clash at St Mary’s.
