Arsenal are prepared to spend €70-80 million to sign Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali at the end of the campaign, according to Italian outlet Il Giornale.
The north London giants have had a fantastic season under manager Mikel Arteta, and still have the chance to win four major trophies. They face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final tomorrow.
The club are also planning for the 2026/27 campaign and reports claim that they have a strong interest in Tonali and are prepared to spend €70-80m to bring him to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Tonali is said to be considering his future at the Magpies, given they are languishing mid-table and may not even qualify for the Champions League with a top-five league finish this campaign.
Arsenal are not alone in the pursuit of the talented midfielder and could face competition from arch-rivals Manchester United, who have held initial contact with the player’s agents over a move.
