Lukeba to EPL?

Arsenal and Manchester United are prepared to battle it out for the signature of RB Leipzig centre-back Castello Lukeba this summer, as per SportWitness.

The Frenchman has been a key player for the Bundesliga outfit, but could be on the move this summer with Leipzig requiring a big-money sale to boost their financial situation.

Arsenal have been linked with the former Lyon man for the last few weeks. The club have Gabriel Magalhaes, Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori as left-footed centre-backs.

They don’t require another left-footed central defender and the speculation could be agent-driven. On the other hand, United could make a genuine move for the talented defender.

Lisandro Martinez has suffered plenty of injuries during his time at the club. Ayden Heaven is the only other left-footed centre-back solution, but he is highly inexperienced.

Hence, United could be tempted to make an offer for Lukeba. Leipzig are expected to hold out for at least 60 million euros to sanction his sale.
