Norgaard set for Arsenal transfer

Arsenal have completed their third signing of the summer transfer window, according to journalist David Ornstein.

The Gunners have been active during the early phase of the summer and they have already signed Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi.

Zubimendi will be the club’s first-choice holding midfielder, and they have now sealed an agreement to land his backup in Christian Norgaard.

Norgaard has already undergone his medical with the Gunners. The Dane is expected to formally join the club before the end of the week.

The 31-year-old has been one of the under-rated defensive midfielders and  should be a quality deputy for Zubimendi for the next few years.

Arsenal are expected to continue their spending spree over the coming weeks. They are poised to sign Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres.

Talks are advancing for the Sweden international, who has already agreed on personal terms. A deal could be finalised in the next few days.

Arsenal are also working on a move for Valencia centre-back Cristhian Mosquera. They have likewise agreed personal terms with him.
