Arsenal won’t be signing Semenyo

Arsenal are unlikely to pursue a deal for Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo during the winter transfer window, according to journalist David Ornstein.

The Gunners are long-term admirers of the Ghana international and were linked with his services last summer before they chose to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.

They have continued to be linked with the talented winger, but the club have no plans of pursuing a winter deal for the player, as per Ornstein.

Arsenal need to balance their books after the huge summer spending spree and may require a big-money sale before they can afford Semenyo.

They could consider Semenyo for the summer, but the 25-year-old is quite clear that he wants to leave Bournemouth at the start of the year.

Semenyo has a release clause worth 65 million pounds in his contract, and it can be triggered from January 1-10. Manchester United and Manchester City are seriously weighing up a move for the versatile forward.
