Liverpool manager Arne Slot has revealed that Alexander Isak won’t be rushed back to action after his leg fracture.
The Sweden international sustained the setback against Tottenham Hotspur in December, and has since been on the sidelines.
Isak is still ongoing his rehabilitation, and Slot has revealed that the striker is anticipated to make his comeback this campaign.
The Dutch tactician said that Isak could potentially return between late March and early April, but did not provide an exact date.
Slot does not expect the striker to return to his best form, and believes the fans will see the best of him during the 2026/27 season.
Hugo Ekitike has been the regular centre-forward for the Reds of late. The Frenchman is expected to lead the line at Nottingham Forest.
Forest stunned Liverpool with a 3-0 win at Anfield in the reverse fixture, and the Reds will be aiming to avenge that result on Sunday.
Liverpool are currently sixth in the standings with 42 points.
