Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan recently shared an adorable story about her elder son, Taimur, revealing that the young boy is completely obsessed with cricket.

Kareena Kapoor talks about son Taimur’s cricket craze and his favorite stars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma

Appearing on an episode of her sister-in-law Soha Ali Khan’s new talk show All About Her, Kareena gave a glimpse into her son’s passion for the sport. The actress recalled an amusing exchange with Taimur, who frequently asks her about the Indian cricket stars, particularly Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

“The only thing he keeps asking me is, ‘Are you friends with Rohit Sharma? Are you friends with Virat Kohli? Can you message them and ask for their bat?’ Kareena laughed, admitting that despite being a Bollywood star, she couldn’t connect with the cricketers as easily as her son hoped. ‘I’m like, ‘No, I can’t! I don’t know them well enough to message them,”

Kareena’s playful and candid moments were shared by Soha in a promotional clip on social media. The actress also opened up about her approach to parenting, emphasizing flexibility in the modern age. She noted how being open to evolving with the times has been crucial, especially in today’s celebrity-driven culture.

From Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan to Taimoor’s cricket training in London

Taimur’s obsession with cricket comes as no surprise, given the illustrious cricketing heritage of his family. As the grandson of Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, one of India’s most iconic cricket captains, Taimur is immersed in a family legacy that dates back to one of the sport’s finest eras. Pataudi, who captained the Indian cricket team at the young age of 21, remains a towering figure in Indian cricket history.

In a viral video from last year, Taimur was seen training at a cricket academy in London, sparking further interest in his budding cricket career. The young boy’s enthusiasm for the game only deepened as it was revealed that he had been receiving training at the ICM Cricket Academy in London. The academy even shared pictures of Taimur practicing, along with a heartwarming video in which his father, actor Saif Ali Khan, explains the family’s deep cricket ties.

Saif was seen teaching Taimur about the concept of counties, where he shared stories about his great-grandfather, who played for Worcestershire, and his grandfather, who captained Sussex. As Taimur listened intently, even the academy coach appeared impressed by the young boy’s cricket knowledge.

“Counties are like clubs, Sussex, Worcestershire. Your great-grandfather played for Worcestershire, and your grandfather captained Sussex,” Saif explains, with Taimur nodding in agreement, indicating his deep understanding of the game’s history.
