Amy Madigan is not only an Oscar winner, she’s a record-breaker too!

Madigan took home the Oscar at the 98th Academy Awards Sunday, winning Best Supporting Actress for her role as Aunt Gladys, in Zach Cregger’s Weapons.

Beat out contenders Teyana Taylor (One Battle After Another), Wunmi Mosaku (Sinners), Elle Fanning (Sentimental Value) and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas (Sentimental Value) for the award. And while the win was major on its own, it served as a huge moment for Madigan, coming 40 years after her Academy Award nomination for 1985’s Twice in a Lifetime and breaking the record for the longest gap between Oscar nominations for an actress.

Madigan’s win also marked a major moment for horror, making it the first supporting actress victory for a horror film since Ruth Gordon won for Rosemary’s Baby in 1969.
