As if Bones Film’s slate wasn’t packed already in Spring 2026, with the Fullmetal Alchemist studio unleashing Daemons of the Shadow Realm on April 4, its next anticipated anime is debuting mere days later. Marriagetoxin, adapting the Shonen Jump+ manga by Joumyaku and Mizuki Yoda, just dropped its latest trailer featuring its ending theme on Bandai Namco Filmworks’ YouTube channel.
Marriagetoxin is set for an April 7, 2026 launch, depicting the misadventures of Hikaru Gero, heir to the Poison Masters’ Gero Family. With his family being among the top five clans of the world’s elite assassins, Gero must prevent the responsibility of bearing an heir from falling on his sister, resolving to find the perfect partner for himself.
Bones Film’s New Assassin Anime Debuts Ending Theme Trailer
Bones Film’s latest trailer for Marriagetoxin highlights Gero’s frightening competence as an assassin while coming across Mei Kinosaki, infamous marriage swindler and Gero’s ultimate matchmaker. Additionally, while the opening theme, “Kill or Kiss” by Yurina Hirate plays at the start, fans are introduced to the catchy ending song, “Shake Na Baby” by AKASAKI for the first time.
AKASAKI also issued a statement to go alongside this trailer’s debut, saying:
Hello, I’m AKASAKI, a college student singer-songwriter. I am truly honored to be performing the
ending theme song for a TV anime for the very first time. And on top of that, to be involved with
the wonderful work of MARRIAGETOXIN which is a series I have loved and followed for a long
time, is something I am incredibly grateful for.
The song “Shake Na Baby” carries the message of the strength to keep pushing forward in your
own way, even in a love full of mistakes.
I hope you enjoy the catchy phrases, as well as the energetic and nostalgic sound that matches
the speed of the series, all while savoring the lingering feeling of the anime.
May this song, alongside TV anime MARRIAGETOXIN, become a “First prize” memory in everyone’s hearts!
The trailer showcases “Shake Na Baby” with its catchy beats and lyrics highlighting the high-energy chaos of Marriagetoxin. Gero is essentially pushed into the dating and marriage pool to protect his sister from unwillingly being forced out of a happy relationship with her girlfriend. What ensues is an unhinged union of high-octane action and anime rom-com goodness.
Hikaru Gero Is an Elite Assassin but a Disastrous Suitor
While juggling the absurd powers of Marriagetoxin’s world of assassins in and out of its Five Families, it’ll be truly interesting to see Gero’s struggle to find love throughout. Marriagetoxin is a hilarious manga capitalizing on this real-life struggle, mixing in classic rom-com anime tropes with overall heartwarming earnest messages of the possibility for anybody to find love.
Marriagetoxin juxtaposes a dark world against the most innocent of pursuits, starring an assassin and the marriage swindler he once haphazardly tried to marry. It’s a mixture of shonen-style fights against the wild powers of other assassins, between romantic coaching sessions. Mei Kinosaki even has some surprises for Gero as well, as they strike out on a mission of love.
Marriagetoxin will debut on April 7, 2026, with its international streaming home’s final confirmation TBD.
