Dip strawberries in candy melts to make easy Easter carrots

1

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Add about 3/4 of the candy melts to a microwave-safe container.

2

Microwave the melts according to the package directions. Stir until smooth and melted.

3

Dip the strawberries one at a time in the orange melts. Place them on the parchment paper to set.

4

Melt the remaining candy melts and place it a small storage bag. Clip the end of the bag and pipe lines across each strawberry. Let the candy melts harden and then plate to serve. See tips for serving suggestions.

Extra tips for making carrot chocolate covered strawberries:

  • Be sure to line the sheet pan with parchment paper to avoid any sticking!
  • Follow the directions on your bag of candy melts and be careful not to overheat them to avoid clumps. A fast fix is to add a touch of coconut or vegetable oil to smooth.
  • In the photos, I showed 3 ways to serve your strawberries! Consider adding them to a plate on top of some chocolate chips or sprinkles. A basket of these carrots would be cute! Also, you can add one to a chocolate pudding cup. Add crushed cookies to the top as “dirt”. So fun!
  • These will last a couple of days, best stored in the fridge. You can make these, maybe a day ahead of time, in my opinion!

What a wonderful treat to include for Easter or Spring this year!

Honestly, this was so fun to make. The kids can get involved and help too as an activity. My teen daughter brought some of these to her friends in her lunch the next day and loved it!
