La Liga text updates, goals and stats

Real Madrid will hope to build on their excellent performance against Manchester City on Tuesday when they host city rivals Atletico in La Liga on Sunday.

Alvaro Arbeloa’s men won 2-1 at the EtihadStadium to secure a place in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Atleti are also through to the last eight despite a 3-2 second-leg defeat at Premier League strugglers Tottenham.

The Rojiblancos won the reverse La Liga fixture 5-2 in September, although Madrid gained a degree of revenge with a 2-1 triumph in the Super Cup in January.
