While there is no perfect formula for a rewatchable movie, Netflix viewers most consistently view action movies, particularly when they feature a catchy soundtrack.

Matilda (1996)

Best in Show is an almost completely improvised movie, and a master-class in comedy. Directed by Christopher Guest, Best in Show is a mockumentary parody of high-stakes dog shows. The film features hilarious, unscripted performances from comedy greats, including Catherine O’Hara, Eugene Levy, and Jennifer Coolidge.
Most Guest movies become cult-classics, and Best in Show is no exception. The film grossed $20 million worldwide in the box office, and has an 88% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. It is often considered one of the best mockumentaries ever made.
Best in Show is leaving Netflix on March 31, so viewers should hit “replay” on the title before it’s too late. Currently, Netflix subscribers can also access the Guest mockumentaries, Waiting for Guffman and A Mighty Wind.

The movie’s soundtrack enjoyed mass popularity too. The song, “Cups (Pitch Perfect’s When I’m Gone),” performed by Anna Kendrick shot to the Billboard Hot 100.
Not every aspect of Pitch Perfect translates for modern audiences, with some jokes falling flat in 2026. Still, the movie’s enduring soundtrack and entertaining vocal performances make it a solid rewatch.

Wake Up Dead Man features a twisting plot, painstaking detail, and an entertaining cast of characters. As such, the movie maintains its rewatchability even after the mystery is revealed. Fans who rewatch the mystery will likely notice covert details they initially missed.
