Fernandez to leave Chelsea?

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has his sights on pursuing a new challenge away from the Blues during the summer transfer window.

The Argentine has been a mainstay in the Blues midfield over the past few years, but his future is uncertain amid the club’s lack of progress.

Chelsea were expected to challenge for the Premier League title after a promising 2024/25 campaign that ended with Club World Cup success.

However, they have been nowhere good enough. The Blues have been on a downward spiral and may not even qualify for the Champions League.

The club have dropped to sixth in the league standings with eight matches left and could be playing in the Europa or Conference League next season.

Amidst this, journalist Gaston Edul claims that Fernandez is assessing his options and he is prepared to pursue a new club with more ambition.

Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have been linked with the World Cup and there could be fresh interest during the next transfer window.
