Manchester United are prepared to make an offer worth €80 million to purchase Nico Williams during the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes.
The Red Devils are likely to bolster their wide attacking department at the end of the season and a versatile winger could reportedly be preferred.
United have been linked with several names including RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, but it is now claimed that Williams is on their radar too.
The Spaniard has endured an injury-plagued campaign with Athletic and he has contributed only four goals and six assists in 26 appearances.
He is presently nursing a sports hernia and the speculation could be agent-driven rather than United considering a proposal for the attacker.
Williams only signed a staggering 10-year contract with the La Liga outfit last summer and will most probably continue with them next term.
The speculation could change if he were to impress for Spain at the World Cup. As things stand, he may not even make the squad this summer.
