Arsenal to face Southampton in FA Cup

Arsenal will travel to St Mary’s for the FA Cup quarter-final against Southampton next month.

The Gunners reached the final eight of the Cup competition after a 2-1 win over Mansfield Town on the road last weekend.

The north London giants were far from convincing at the One Call Stadium, but progressed after an Eberechi Eze winner.

Mikel Arteta‘s side will now face the Saints in the quarter-final. They will be on the road for the third time this campaign.

St Mary’s has been a bogey ground for the Gunners in the past. They have picked up just one win in the last three meetings at the stadium.

Arsenal will go into the FA Cup tie as favourites, but it may not be straightforward, particularly with the changes on the cards.

Arteta has gone with a second-string side for the competition and could follow the same strategy for next month’s trip to the South Coast.
