Legend Of Zelda Collides With GTA In New RPG You Can Try Free Now

You can now check out an RPG that mixes The Legend of Zelda with GTA for free on Steam, and if you’re a fan of either franchise or both, you won’t want to miss out on this opportunity. There are tons of games that you can test out for free on the gaming platform, in addition to all the free titles. Recently, the platform held Steam Next Fest, which is centered around demos for upcoming games on Steam, and there were hundreds of them highlighted.

Even though the main event has ended, there are still several demos that you can check out, including one for Vice: Magic City Mayhem. This demo is completely free and offers you a look at the indie title created by Jurassic Sunset Games. All you have to do is head on over to its product page on Steam and download the demo, which allows you to play it at any given time.

Vice: Magic City Mayhem Is A Fusion Of Zelda And GTA

The Indie Game Is A Retro Action-Adventure Title

Vice: Magic City Mayhem is an 8-bit top-down retro action-adventure game that is openly inspired by Zelda games, especially the older ones, but set in a modern, even if heavily fictional world. In the game, you’ll control Dutch, who sets off on a journey through Magic City to rescue his love, Sophie. You’ll navigate through nightclubs, scenic beaches, and yachts to complete your mission.

In terms of theme and tone, Vice: Magic City Mayhem is clearly inspired by GTA: Vice City. However, you can expect exploration, combat, and puzzles that resemble those seen in older Zelda titles. There will be several dungeons to explore and boss fights to participate in, all of which are fueled by dark humor and magic, set in a gritty world. Despite its clear inspirations, Vice: Magic City Mayhem does seem like a unique blend of these two otherwise incompatible franchises.

The demo will showcase the tone, setting, gameplay features, and more, as you get ready for what may be a remarkable release. Vice: Magic City Mayhem is a game expected to release in 2026, though it does not yet have a definitive release date.

In the meantime, however, you can check out the demo for free and get your skills ready for the full release later this year. Vice: Magic City Mayhem has low system requirements, but do check them out before playing the free demo for this RPG on Steam.
