The Mandalorian and Grogu‘s most surprising (and muscular) character, Rotta the Hutt, makes his proper debut in a brand-new image for the upcoming Star Wars movie.
Though The Mandalorian TV series was strongly inspired by the Mandalorian lore developed in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, few could have predicted that it would also bring back a character introduced in 2008’s The Clone Wars film. The defenseless baby Huttlet Rotta, saved by Anakin Skywalker and his new Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, is the son of Return of the Jedi‘s fearsome Jabba — and defenseless no more.
Rotta, affectionately known as “Stinky,” will be voiced by none other than The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White, as Din Djarin and Grogu become involved with the dangerously criminal Hutt Clan. “[Rotta’s] in top form, fighting in the pits, a gladiator of sorts,” Favreau told Empire, who debuted the latest image of Allen White’s, as seen in the X post below.
