Alongside a new trailer that teases a major twist involving Maggie Sullivan, the Sullivan’s Crossing season 4 premiere date has finally been announced.

The Canadian series, which has aired in the United States on The CW since 2023, was added to Netflix in 2025 and went on to become a streaming hit. In early February 2026, Sullivan’s Crossing reached No. 3 on the global streaming charts, beating out shows like Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials, Ghosts, Stranger Things and Bones.

After the first three seasons dominated the streaming charts, the drama series is about to return to broadcast TV. The CW announced that Sullivan’s Crossing season 4 will premiere on Monday, April 20 at 8 p.m. EDT, with the first of 10 episodes.

The network also released a 30-second promo for the new season that teases the latest twist in Maggie’s storyline. Despite making a commitment to Cal Jones, her past comes back to bite her when her ex, Liam, shows up unexpectedly.

After Maggie, who looks like a deer in headlights, questions his sudden appearance, Liam replies, “Is that any way to greet your husband?” Cal, who was unaware of the marriage, looks over at her and says, “What’s he talking about, Maggie?“

The teaser video goes on to reveal that Sullivan’s Crossing season 4 will largely revolve around this unexpected love triangle, with Maggie forced to make a choice between the vow she made and the new life she chose for herself.

When the series began, Maggie had run back to her hometown in Nova Scotia to escape her troubles and rebuild a relationship with her father. Sullivan’s Crossing stars Morgan Kohan, Chad Michael Murray, Tom Jackson, Andrea Menard and Scott Patterson.

Before 2023, Kohan was best known for her role on When Hope Calls, as well as guest appearances on Star Trek: Discovery, The Bold Type and Batwoman.

Sullivan’s Crossing season 3 ended with the shocking cliffhanger that Maggie’s estranged husband, Liam, was back in the picture. This new wrinkle is unfolding just as her professional and romantic lives are flourishing. Speaking of marriage, Rafe and Sydney also contemplated exchanging vows in the finale, a storyline that will likely continue in the upcoming fourth season.

The TV show is adapted from Robyn Carr’s series of novels. The NYT bestselling author also published the Virgin River series, which was adapted for Netflix, along with Grace Valley, Thunder Point and Omnibus.

According to The CW, Sullivan’s Crossing season 3 is one of the network’s most successful original series and was the highest-rated show on The CW’s digital platforms this past year.

Roma Roth created Sullivan’s Crossing and also serves as an executive producer alongside Carr, Hilary Martin, Michela DiMondo and Christopher E. Perry. Other producers include Mark Gingras, Michael Volpe, Ann Bernier, Marc Tetreault and Jason Levangie.

Sullivan’s Crossing season 4 premieres Monday, April 20 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
