Arena Breathes New Life Into The RPG

Hogwarts Legacy was always going to be a big game for Warner Bros. and Avalanche Studios, but even they would likely have doubted analysts had they successfully predicted just how major it was actually going to be.

The game secured the spot as the third most played single-player title on the PlayStation 5 since its release, and development on a sequel is now well underway, though it may well be a very different offering to the first game.

Though there are a lot of things to like about the original Hogwarts Legacy, few elements are as well-rounded as the spell combat. Chaining together attacks of different types is highly rewarding, and you’ll quickly find yourself killing creatures and nefarious enemies in ever more imaginative ways.

So what better way to get the most out of that than to install a mod that allows you to fight as many unsuspecting NPCs as you wish?

Hogwarts Legacy: Arena Is By Fans, For Fans

Hogwarts Legacy: Arena is a mod where the title gives the game away a little bit, but which essentially grants access to a new stadium location where you can take on relentless waves of enemies, with the difficulty ramping up between each round.

Developed by longtime fans of the game, you should find the incremental and progressive difficulty increase to be a rewarding new mode of progression in the otherwise base release.

As you might have already guessed, you won’t be going through all the rigmarole for nothing, with plenty of rewards on offer for those who dare to take on the challenge. If you manage to defeat all 12 waves, then there will be a big old pile of loot waiting at the end for you. If you get part of the way through and think the rest might be a bridge too far, then you can withdraw at any time with what you’ve earned so far (including Knuts and chests).

This Fan Expansion Is All About Wizarding Combat

As you might expect, this mod really is all about your prowess in the martial magical arts and you’ll need every ounce of your skill to make it to the end.

The latter rounds are definitely some of the most difficult challenges you can face anywhere in Hogwarts Legacy, and it’s a great test for lontime player looking for something new. As with most mods, Arena is available to download for free from Curse Forge, and it can be secured via direct download, though it is easiest to use their proprietary mod management client to download.
