Match Preview for Tottenham vs Arsenal

The North London derby takes centre stage on Sunday as Tottenham host Arsenal in the Premier League table.

Igor Tudor takes charge of Spurs for the first time, after Tottenham parted company with Thomas Frank following a 2-1 defeat to Newcastle, a result that left the Europa League holders just five points clear of the relegation zone.

Spurs are yet to record a Premier League victory in 2026 and have taken only four points from the last 24 available.

Arsenal, meanwhile, travel across the capital frustrated after a 2-2 draw with Wolves.

The dropped points have reignited concerns over their title credentials, particularly with Manchester City poised to reduce the gap at the top if results go against the Gunners.

Away form has been inconsistent for Arteta’s side, who have won only three of their nine Premier League matches on the road.

However, their recent dominance in this fixture offers encouragement. Arsenal are unbeaten in their last seven league meetings with Tottenham and have won their last three visits to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Team news for Tottenham v Arsenal

Tottenham’s injury list remains extensive. Wilson Odobert is out for the season with an ACL injury, while Pedro Porro, Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Mohammed Kudus, Kevin Danso, Destiny Udogie, Lucas Bergvall, Ben Davies and Rodrigo Bentancur are all sidelined. Cristian Romero continues to serve a suspension.

Richarlison has returned to training but is not expected to feature. Tudor may turn to Randal Kolo Muani in attack as he assesses limited options across the squad.

Arsenal have fewer fitness concerns and could welcome back Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz, both of whom are nearing full fitness. Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard sustained minor issues in midweek but are expected to be available.

If Odegaard is fit to start, Saka may move back to his natural wide role as Arsenal look to regain control in midfield and attack.
