February 21st: Saturday’s English Accumulator – 8/1 Special, Betting Tips & Analysis

With the Premier League title chase suddenly igniting, we have what could be a season-defining weekend of fixtures from up and down the country.

Along with five Premier League showdowns, there are also a string of eye-catching Championship battles on a stacked Saturday schedule.

For those of you looking to stick on a Saturday acca, we have taken a glance at some of the most intriguing betting markets which are available.

Saturday, February 21st

BST 15:00 Millwall vs Portsmouth

While Millwall might have narrowly missed out on a play-off ticket last season, Alex Neil’s men have come roaring back in a sensational fashion this time around.

Shattering a string of records, the Lions are in the midst of what has become quite the purple patch and they can remarkably move within touching distance of the automatic promotion spots this weekend.

Last seen securing a 2-1 victory away at Sheffield Wednesday, the former Norwich boss finds the mood in his camp at a red-hot high.

Opening Saturday’s showdown sat in bronze medal position, Millwall have registered 10 points from their previous four Championship showdowns. Getting February underway with a heavyweight scalp as they secured an eye-catching 2-0 win against Wrexham, Saturday’s hosts are riding a major wave of momentum.

Pencilled in as a standout contender this weekend and looking to make another promotion statement, the Lions have also suffered just a sole Championship defeat since back on December 20th.

Claiming an essential boost earlier in the week as they secured a 3-1 victory against Charlton, Portsmouth will be desperate to use that clinical performance as a platform to build on going forward.

However, despite returning to the English capital this weekend holding a four-point buffer over slipping into the relegation zone, John Mousinho’s men are regarded as a major underdog in south London and they should be worried by their recent at The Den.

Hit with a 2-1 loss when they last travelled to the promotion contenders back in April 2025, they have lost all of their previous three trips to the Lions by an aggregate score of 5-2.

It should also be highlighted, despite landing that 3-1 win away at Charlton on Tuesday night, Pompey have recorded just a pair of Championship victories away from Fratton Park so far this season.

Two sides who are still scrapping it out at opposite ends of the Championship table, we are backing a home victory on Saturday afternoon.

Tip: Millwall win @ 11/10

17:30 West Ham vs Bournemouth

Although West Ham might open Saturday’s fixtures sat three points adrift in the relegation zone, Nuno Espirito Santo’s camp have shown some real signs of life over the past month.

Despite suffering last-gasp heartbreak against Manchester United last week as they eventually had to settle for a 1-1 stalemate in east London, the former Nottingham Forest boss has seen his resurgent squad suffer just a single defeat from any of their previous seven appearances across all competitions.

Enjoying what has become by far their most fruitful spell of the 2025/26 campaign, West Ham will be desperate to find a route out of the drop zone.

However, it should be noted, showing some extended defensive issues, Santo’s side have recorded just a pair of Premier League clean sheets so far this season.

In fact, the Hammers have also seen all of their last five home fixtures across all formats finish with both teams finding the net.

While Bournemouth might have signed off 2025 in the midst of a public blip, Andoni Iraola’s side have come roaring back in a sensational fashion.

Last seen mounting a dramatic comeback away at Everton as they eventually left Merseyside with a 2-1 victory, the Cherries now have their sights set on mounting a late European charge. Skyrocketing their way up the Premier League standings, the former Rayo Vallecano boss should find the mood in his camp at a season-high.

Along with registering 10 points from their last four top-flight battles, Bournemouth are also unbeaten in their previous six Premier League showdowns (four wins, two draws).

Looking to extend on their top-six charge this weekend, it should also be noted that Iraola’s side have recorded consecutive Premier League wins away from the Vitality for the first time this season.

However, the Cherries have registered just a sole clean sheet away from the Vitality since way back on August 30th.

Tip: Both teams to score @ 2/3

20:00 Manchester City vs Newcastle

Watching Arsenal suffering a remarkable last-gasp collapse away at Wolves in midweek, Manchester City will be more than aware that they face a must-win showdown here.

Getting Saturday’s battle underway sat knowing that they can move within just two points of the Gunners, Pep Guardiola’s men have an almighty job on their hands in the race to reclaim their Premier League crown in 2026.

However, mounting an iconic last-gasp comeback away at arch-rivals Liverpool on February 8th as they clinched a famous 2-1 victory at Anfield, the Sky Blues are enjoying what has been a real purple patch.

Punching their spot in the final of this season’s EFL Cup after claiming a thumping 5-1 aggregate win against Newcastle earlier in the month, Guardiola’s superstar squad will know the importance of making up some ground.

Likewise, Man City have also won all of their previous six straight showdowns at the Etihad across all formats by an aggregate score of 22-2.

Putting in a sensational Champions League performance on foreign soil in midweek as they opened their play-off adventure with a 6-1 romp against Qarabag, Eddie Howe’s side have certainly turned an essential corner over the past fortnight.

Extending on their FA Cup charge last weekend and making a real statement in the Midlands as they cruised their way to a 3-1 victory against Aston Villa, the former Bournemouth boss has seen his squad win each of their previous three appearances across all competitions.

However, relinquishing their famous EFL Cup crown on February 4th as they slumped to a 5-1 aggregate defeat at the hands of Manchester City, Howe’s side will be bracing themselves for a far more challenging examination on Saturday night.

It should also be noted, including that 3-1 loss when they travelled to Manchester on February 4th, Howe’s side have failed to record a single domestic win at the Etihad since way back in October 2014.
