Steam Drops Free Dark Fantasy RPG Sequel You Can Keep Forever

Steam has nearly any genre covered. Whether you’re a niche RPG fan or just a proponent of the genre in general, you can find an entire array of deep games that will keep you on your toes.

This Steam game has many fans excited and is currently receiving “very positive” reviews from a large sample size. It’s also currently free.

Vampire’s Fall 2 Is Completely Free On Steam

You Can Grab It Now

In Vampire’s Fall 2, the sequel to 2020s Vampire’s Fall: Origins, you’ll play a vampire as you “forge your destiny in a world shattered by a brutal civil war between humans and vampires.” It’s also important to note that this is a PC port of a mobile game, which is free-to-play, and is also enjoying positive reviews on both the Google Play marketplace and the App Store.

That conversion is not lost on the team. Interestingly, developer Early Morning Studio has responded to the question on its on Steam page, “Is this a pay-to-win trash mobile game ported to Steam?”

“It’s not, we promise! We play a lot of old-school RPGs. Today, you basically cannot find those types of games on mobile, which is why Vampire’s Fall 2 started there. Unlike the mobile version, the PC version has no ads. It has optional in-app-purchases but no paywalls. It has higher resolution textures and audio, as well as a UI and controllers adapted to PC. To be perfectly honest, it does have some P2W elements, which is why the game is free to play. We hope you’ll enjoy it.”

Despite that rather frank admission, the game currently has “very positive” reviews on the platform.

This One’s Perfect For RPG Lovers

And Has Very Positive Reviews

Vampires Fall RPG Map

One fan specifically calls out the RPG elements of Vampire’s Fall 2, noting: “This game is very charming. It has a good story line and is funny. It has a Diablo feel mixed with V rising. You can either grind or go with the main story quests. Found myself looking forward to exploring and seeing what else is ahead.”

Others seem to enjoy the in-depth RPG gameplay: “This is a great 2D RPG, especially for players who grew up with classic RPGs but want modern features. The mechanics are well-balanced and fair. It’s not P2W at all. Strong items can still be obtained through grinding as a free player, and the grind feels reasonable, not overly punishing or exhausting.”

Since Vampire’s Fall 2 is free-to-play on Steam, you can give it a go for a bit and see if it’s worth your time. Given the positive reviews, which appear to be gaining traction at the same rate as the original mobile version, it could grow even larger over time.
