During a press conference held by Trump’s Board of Peace, Jared Kushner, American businessman and son-in-law to Donald Trump, unveiled the master plan for New Gaza.
During the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Board of Peace, headed up by Trump, unveiled its plans for the destroyed Gaza Strip. The $25 billion plan involves high-rise tourist apartments, vast shopping districts, and modern industrial data centers. The construction is planned to be laid on top of the remains of the Palestinian enclave.
The plan laid out by Kushner is broken up into zones. Looking at the blueprint for the largely destroyed area, it is possible to see what the future will look like for the Palestinians’ homes if the Board of Peace has its way. The layout was put together using AI and is set to begin construction before a ceasefire is announced.
Towering luxury apartments, akin to the architecture of Dubai, rest beside the coastal region of the Gaza Strip. More images show tree-lined suburbs, dotted by parks and recreation areas. The map itself has designated vast zones for industrial complexes and data centers. A port and rail line have also been mapped out in the New Gaza.
If and when peace is declared in Gaza, there is no doubt that a new city will have to be built from the rubble of the Palestinians’ homes. Before the plans for a ceasefire had even been proposed, the property investors and real estate moguls on the Board of Peace had already parceled up the land for profit.
Luxury apartments and vast tourist hot spots sit on top of the remains of homes that are yet to be cleared. The speech given by Kushner advertised the developments as “for the Gazan people.” He predicted a 100% employment ratein the New Gaza and a GDP of $10 billion by 2035.
The plan for a New Gaza is, according to Kushner, almost entirely dependent on the demilitarization of Hamas. They will have to, first, come to some form of agreement before the developers can move in and begin building the modern utopia described by the Board of Peace.
The response has been a combination of disbelief and ridicule. A commonly voiced question is whether the people who live in Gaza will ever be asked how they feel about their land being bought and redeveloped by the unelected Board of Peace. Others question who exactly they mean when they say “Gazans.”
