Rosenior on Tosin injury

Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has confirmed that defender Tosin Adarabioyo will be sidelined for the next few weeks with a hamstring injury.

The Englishman sustained the setback during the 2-0 Premier League win over Brentford last weekend and was substituted before the hour mark.

Rosenior initially said that the decision to substitute him was precautionary, but he has now disclosed that the defender will be sidelined for some time.

He said in his press conference: “Tosin, there is something in his hamstring which will rule him out for the next few weeks.”

The Blues are currently 13th in the league phase of the Champions League and need a victory over Pafos tomorrow to keep their top-eight hopes alive.

A top-eight finish guarantees a direct entry into the round of 16 of the competition and therefore avoid a double-legged knock-out play-off.

Chelsea go into the game against Pafos as clear favourites and have the opportunity to pick up three points as well as boost their goal difference.
